Job Summary
BirdsVue LLC is seeking a Senior Microsoft Teams Voice / Identity & Security Lead to implement Microsoft Teams Phone, identity integration, and agreed Microsoft 365 security capabilities.
This role combines enterprise voice engineering with identity and security administration. The candidate will be responsible for Teams Phone configuration, PSTN connectivity, voice routing, identity synchronization, authentication controls, Conditional Access, MFA, and agreed endpoint security capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
<>Microsoft Teams Phone and Voice
- Design and configure Microsoft Teams Phone according to approved requirements.
- Coordinate PSTN connectivity through the selected Calling Plan, Operator Connect, or Direct Routing model.
- Support telephone number porting and carrier coordination.
- Configure dial plans, voice routing, Auto Attendants, and Call Queues.
- Implement agreed emergency-calling configurations.
- Troubleshoot call-quality, routing, and connectivity issues.
- Support pilot testing, production cutovers, and post-migration stabilization.
<>Identity and Security
- Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity integration.
- Support Entra Connect or Cloud Sync, as applicable.
- Implement agreed MFA, Conditional Access, and single sign-on configurations.
- Support enterprise application identity integration.
- Implement least-privilege access and agreed identity governance controls.
- Configure or support Microsoft Intune and Defender capabilities within scope.
- Assist with security-policy validation, device compliance, and access troubleshooting.
- Develop PowerShell automation for identity and configuration tasks.
- Document security settings, technical decisions, and operational procedures.
Required Technical Skills
- Microsoft Teams administration and Teams Phone.
- PSTN connectivity and enterprise voice routing.
- Calling Plans, Operator Connect, or Direct Routing.
- Auto Attendants and Call Queues.
- Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity.
- MFA, Conditional Access, and SSO.
- Active Directory and identity synchronization.
- Microsoft Intune and endpoint compliance.
- Microsoft Defender administration, where applicable.
- PowerShell scripting and troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant Microsoft Teams, identity, or security certifications.
- Experience implementing enterprise voice solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 security hardening.
- Familiarity with enterprise application integrations and identity governance.
Deliverables: Teams Phone implementation documentation, voice-routing configuration, identity and security configuration records, testing results, cutover plans, and operational handover documentation.
This is a remote position.
Compensation: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
